FAQs

There are a few questions which usually come up several times per tournament. To save you from asking them, and me from answering them multiple times, here are the most frequent questions consolidated into one blog post. I'll update it if more questions come in...

FAQ #1:
"How can I see what I tipped?"
Sorry, you can't see what you tipped. I've tried to enable this, but it's not supported.
I'll try to post all the tips into the blog, but only after the match has ended.

FAQ #2:
A variation of...
"How do I change my tips?"
"I tipped Ronaldo to score but now he's injured!"
"I accidentally tipped England to win, can I change it please?"
Yes. Yes, you can. Simply submit your tips via the online form again, and drop me a quick note to let me know.
You'll need to delete your cookies (or use a different browser) to access the online form again.

FAQ #3:
"Did I tip?"
Try clicking on the link again. If it gives you a grumpy message about only being able to submit your tips once, then Yes, it thinks you have tipped already. If you're really not sure, then I can log in and check.

This FIFA tournament is not officially endorsed by the Tipster
FAQ #4:
"Can I cheat?"
No.

FAQ #5:
"How much time does it take you to run the Tipster?"
Don't ask.

FAQ #6:
"Can you send me the links again please? I've lost them."
Yes, I can.
This question has already been asked once this year, and the tournament hasn't even begun yet.
How on earth you can lose them mystifies me...

FAQ #7:
"Are all the other Tipster players real people?"
As far as I know, Yes.

FAQ #8:
"What if I want to tip 0-0?"
You can tip 0-0.
But... you can (should/must) also tip a Scorer and a Time for the first goal.
If your 0-0 tip is wrong, then you still have a chance of gaining points from tipping the correct Scorer or Time.
Think of it as saying "I predict a 0-0 draw, BUT if I'm wrong, then the 1st goal will be scored by XYZ, and it will happen in the nth minute."
